The factor responsible for eliciting resistance to aphids in tobacco plants infected with Fny‐CMVΔ2b is the Fny‐CMV 1a protein, and it was concluded that during infection by wild‐type Fny‐CMV the resistance‐inducing effect of the Fny‐CMV 1a protein is counteracted by the Fny‐CMV 2b protein (Tungadi et al., 2020). Here, GDI1 is linked to infection.
