Considering that the Wnt signaling pathway plays essential roles in the development of several types of cancer, including HNSCC [30–32], we treated cells with ICG-001, a small-molecule inhibitor that specifically blocks the interaction between the CBP and β-catenin, thus acts as a selective antagonist of the canonical Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway [33]. This evidence concerns the gene CREBBP and cancer.
