ALB and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency: To attain a positive diagnosis, another two risk factors need to be present in patients affected by obesity: waist-to-hip ratio (>0.9 or 0.85 for men and women, respectively) and/or (BMI) > 30; hypertension (systolic pressure > 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure > 90 mmHg); dyslipidemia (TG ≥ 1.7 mM and/or HDL < 0.9 mM or <1.0 mM for men and women, respectively); and microalbuminuria, calculated as urinary albumin excretion rate ≥ 20 μg/min or albumin:creatinine ratio ≥ 20 mg/g [7].
