NR4A1 and atherosclerosis: The present study provides the first evidence that circSCRG1 was significantly down-regulated in ox-LDL-induced HUVECs, and circSCRG1 silencing induced angiogenesis and up-regulated NR4A1 expression, effects that were blunted by an miR-1268b inhibitor, indicating that the circSCRG1/miR-1268b/NR4A1 axis might be closely associated with angiogenesis in atherosclerosis, suggesting a novel angiogenesis signalling pathway in atherosclerosis.
