Since previous studies showed an association between adenoma size and blood pressure normalization after adrenal gland removal, we may hypothesize that small adenomas are characterized by higher aldosterone levels and, consequently an increased BPC; however, we could not estimate the impact of biochemical variables (such as aldosterone/renin ratios, cortisol values), histochemical (aldosterone synthase), and surgical factors were not included in our dataset [24].
