FGFR1 and cancer: Targeting the DNA repair pathway (veliparib for PARP SLFN11 high tumors), genomic alterations (e.g., pazopanib for FGFR1-amplified tumors), antigens expressed on cancer cells with antibody-drug conjugates (for example, rovalpituzumab tesirine for DLL3 expressed in SCLC cells), and genomic instability (e.g., checkpoint inhibitors) are areas of active research [27,28].
