Arrhythmias are believed to be a manifestation of multiple factors including systemic inflammation, hypoxia, adrenergic state, viral myocardial damage, downregulation of angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) pathways, volume shifts, metabolic derangements, and potential aggravation of chronic conduction disturbances [3,4]. Here, ACE2 is linked to cardiac arrhythmia.
