In IR and PCOS women, BMI, waist-to-hip ratio (WHR), systolic blood pressure (SBP), total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), FBG, 2h-blood glucose after glucose overload (2h-BG), FIns, 2h-insulin after glucose overload (2h-Ins), HbA1c, AUCglucose, AUCinsulin, HOMA-IR, and BAI were increased significantly compared with healthy controls, while M-value was lower, suggesting metabolic disorders and obesity in IR and PCOS groups. The gene discussed is INS; the disease is polycystic ovary syndrome.
