A potential antitumor compound, Glycyrrhizic acid, has been tested for its efficacy in gastric cancer cell lines, and led to G1 arrest and induction of apoptosis, along with reduction of Cyclin D1, D2, D3, E1, and E2 and an increase in pro-apoptotic cleavage patterns of pro-caspases [89].
