Lastly, to further enrich our understanding of a tumor microenvironment in vitro, we could expose primary endometrial epithelial cells to environmental toxins that cause cancer, such as TCDD, to see if we could induce RPLP1 expression similar to that observed in the cancer cell lines used in this study and correlate this expression with that of other markers of proliferation and EMT. This evidence concerns the gene RPLP1 and cancer.
