LAMC1 and hepatocellular carcinoma: Laminin subunit gamma 1 (Lamc 1) decreased the growth of HCC cells by promoting tumor cell death and decreased glucose transportation via the inhibition of expression of pyruvate kinase M2 (PKM2), mechanically reducing the expression of glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1) and lactate dehydrogenase A (LDHA), which implied that the AKT pathway plays a crucial role in the progression of HCC by transforming glucose metabolism [44].
