STAT3 and non-small cell lung carcinoma: Gallic acid (Figure 3), a hydroxybenzoic acid found in a variety of plants and fruits, increases EGFR turnover, inhibits the Src-signal transducer and activator of transcription-3 (STAT3) signaling pathway, and causes apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in EGFR-TKI-resistant NSCLC.
