Thyroid function (thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), free thyroxine (FT4),and free triiodothyronine (FT3)) and thyroid autoimmunity (thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPO-Ab), thyroglobulin antibody (Tg-Ab), and TSH-receptor antibody (TR-Ab) level) results showed significant differences between the groups (all p < 0.001 and the Kruskal–Wallis test) in accordance with the disease characteristics. This evidence concerns the gene TG and autoimmune thyroid disease.
