KIF5B (kinesin family member 5B) (~70% of cases) and CCDC6 (coiled-coil domain containing 6) (~20% of cases) represent the main RET fusion partners in malignant tumors, even though additional ones such as NCOA4 (nuclear receptor coactivator 4), TRIM33 (tripartite motif containing 33), MYO5C (myosin VC), and EPHA5 (enables ephrin receptor A5) have been detected so far [37].
