Finally, the presence of T-cell immunoreceptor with Ig and ITIM domains (TIGIT) on T cells was found to be associated with CAR-T-cell dysfunction in patients diagnosed with B-cell lymphoma, and TIGIT blockade alone was sufficient to improve CAR-T-cell functionality in preclinical in vitro studies and mouse models [63].
