ALK and non-small cell lung carcinoma: Three phase III trials (J-ALEX [37], ALEX [35], and ALESIA [38]) involving patients with ALK-p stage IV NSCLC and PS 0–1 found that PFS is significantly longer in patients treated with alectinib monotherapy than in those treated with crizotinib monotherapy (HR 0.38, 95% CI: 0.26–0.55; HR 0.47, 95% CI: 0.34–0.65; HR 0.22, 95% CI: 0.13–0.38).
