Ovarian cancers are often linked to the genetic mutations of the BRCA genes and p53 mutations which occur in 50–80% of epithelial ovarian cancer, amplification, and overexpression of HER2/neugene and the AKT2 gene in about 10–20% of the high-grade serous carcinoma and inactivation of p16 gene recorded in 10–17% of the epithelial ovarian cancers [74,75]. This evidence concerns the gene AKT2 and ovarian carcinoma.
