Promyelocytic leukemia zinc finger (PLZF) also known as ZBTB16 or ZFP145 was initially found in promyelocytic leukemia as one of the numerous partner proteins attached to the retinoic acid receptor α (RARα) by a reciprocal chromosomal translocation [91,92]. Here, ZBTB16 is linked to acute promyelocytic leukemia.
