Genes encoding several downstream mediators of VitD signalling, including VDR, RXR, and co-repressors, i.e., NCoa and NCoR, and genes associated with BA detoxification (e.g., PXR), and efflux of conjugated BA (e.g., MRP3) [55,56], the latter one previously reported in intestinal slices treated with LCA or VitD 1.25 [57], were induced in the colons of HF-fed mice. The gene discussed is NR1I2; the disease is hydrops fetalis.
