Dijakiewicz M. et al. [21] in a study evaluated implant success in patients with renal osteodystrophy by histological and histomorphometric analysis of jaw bone tissue samples and qualitative analysis of the bone mineral of the maxillary heads through EPR (electron paramagnetic resonance imaging), and finally an evaluation of biochemical markers of bone metabolism (calcium, phosphate, PTH, alkaline phosphatase). Here, PTH is linked to renal osteodystrophy.
