In the CIBIS-ELD patients, the median NT-proBNP level was 609 ng/L (interquartile range of 255 to 1614 ng/L), i.e., it was lower than that observed in other trials investigating patients with stable chronic heart failure (where the typical median NT-proBNP levels were 2000 ng/L and above) [5,6].
