Recently, it was reported that the silencing of glutathione S-transferase zeta (GSTZ1) using a CRISPR/Cas9-mediated GSTZ1-knockout in both human and mouse hepatoma cell lines, promoted cell migration in a mechanism involving UDP-glucose 6-dehydrogenase (UGDH)-mediated UDP-glucuronic acid accumulation [49]. Here, GSTZ1 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
