Based on the available literature data, this finding, previously described also in other malignancies expressing PSMA in their neovasculature (including clear cell renal cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, and glioblastoma [34,35,36]), still cannot be explained; in this context, further studies are needed to assess the biological mechanisms underlying this phenomenon. This evidence concerns the gene FOLH1 and clear cell renal carcinoma.
