Patients suffering from multiple sclerosis had significantly higher levels of urinary NGF/Cr and BDNF/Cr compared to the other two groups (8 pg/mL vs. 0.56 pg/mL vs. 1.25 pg/mg; p = 0.001; and 88.3 pg/mL vs. 5 pg/mL vs. 4.8 pg/mg; p < 0.0001; respectively). Here, BDNF is linked to multiple sclerosis.
