Based on recommendations by the Consortium to Inform Molecular and Practical Approaches to CNS Tumor Taxonomy—Not Official World Health Organization (WHO) (cIMPACT-NOW) WHO created the latest classification of CNS tumors (5th edition, 2021) which includes following adult-type diffuse gliomas: astrocytoma, isocitrate dehydrogenases (IDH)-mutant; oligodendroglioma, IDH-mutant and 1p/19q-codeleted; and glioblastoma, IDH-wildtype [4]. This evidence concerns the gene IDH3A and central nervous system neoplasm.
