Recently, we discovered a new anti-cancer mechanism for PEITC in which it rescues a p53 mutant in vitro as well as in breast (p53R175H SK-BR-3) and prostate (p53R175H LAPC-4 and p53P223L/V274F DU145) cancer xenograft mouse models, thereby inhibiting tumor growth [20,21]. The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is cancer.
