A study by the International T-cell Lymphoma Project observed a 5-year overall survival (OS) rate below 50% for most subtypes of PTCL, with the exception of ALK-positive anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALK+ ALCL) and subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma (SPTCL), which were 70% and 64%, respectively [4]. The gene discussed is ALK; the disease is subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma.
