Out of all the soluble and cellular subsets tested, a combination of tumour necrosis factor receptor type 2 (TNFR2)-expressing regulatory T cells (Tregs) and interleukin 6 (IL-6) showed superior predictive ability over the biomarkers currently used to discriminate between benign and malignant tumors.
