CRP and COVID-19: We found the strongest association with severe COVID-19 for patients with elevated CRP values of 30 mg/l or higher at baseline (aRR 2.30, 95% CI 2.03–2.62), followed by elevated procalcitonin (PCT) > 0.5 ng/ml (aRR 2.21, 95% CI 1.95–2.50), and troponin T above the upper limit of normal (ULN) (aRR 1.95, 95% CI 1.60–2.38).
