In conclusion, we found that in combination with each other, NLRP3, CASP1, and GSDMD possibly serve as promising therapeutic targets for HCC based on the under-expression of the NLRP3 inflammasome components (NLRP3 and CASP1) and the executioner of pyroptosis (GSDMD) in the studied HCC patients. The gene discussed is CASP1; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
