Both gene pairs,BRCA1-PARP1 andBRCA1-PARP2, showed statistically significant co-expression, with their correlation coefficients ranging from 0.26 to 0.59 across patient-derived and cancer cell line datasets [Figure 3A(i,ii) and 3B(i,ii)] (P < 0.01). This evidence concerns the gene BRCA1 and cancer.
