COX10 and infection: Wang et al. (2016) also found that rice NBS-LRR disease-resistant protein Pik-h interacts with Cytochrome c oxidase assembly protein (COX11). In our study, it was found that the expression of Cytc was significantly up-regulated after infection by P. brassicae, and its expression was significantly different between resistant and susceptible materials (Figure 7). Therefore, we can speculate that BrRPP1 as a TIR-NBS-LRR gene may regulate the programmed death of plant cells by promoting the release of cytochromes.
