The levels of IL‐37 (79 [IQR: 47–102] vs. 60 [IQR: 46–89] ng/L; p = .04) and IL‐39 (66 [IQR: 59–69] vs. 31 [IQR: 19–42] ng/L; p < .001) were significantly elevated in T2DM patients compared to CTRL (Figure 1). The gene discussed is IL37; the disease is type 2 diabetes mellitus.
