Cooccurrence of high COX-2 and E-cadherin expression (scores 3–4 for both; ref. 37) was observed in 48 of 172 (28%) of the breast tumors, was overrepresented in IBC (4 of 7 or 57%) compared with non-IBC (44 of 165 or 27%) (Figure 3A), and was associated with worse BC-specific survival probability (Figure 3B). Here, CDH1 is linked to inflammatory breast carcinoma.
