CD4 and COVID-19: Grifoni et al. (2020), reported that, in cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection in the lungs, specific CD4+ T cells were found in all cases of COVID-19, whereas CD8+ T cells were found in most cases but not in all cases of COVID-19, the immunological reaction triggered by SARS-CoV-2 infection showed increased mobility of several cytokines such as IL-1, IL-6, IL-12, IFN-γ and TNF-α.
