CD8A and neoplasm: Of note, we previously observed that tumor homogenates generated by histotripsy ablation but not freeze/thaw dissociation contain immunogenically intact tumor antigens capable of stimulating tumor antigen-specific CD8+ T cells (37); thus, inoculation of intact tumor antigens could have contributed to the ability of histotripsy tumor homogenates to promote partial immune protection even in the absence of a more prolonged post-vaccination latency period.
