To gain insights into the anti-proliferative pro-death activity of SMOX, we analyzed the phosphorylation of H2AX histone (γH2AX), a biomarker for double-strand breaks (DSBs), in RD and JR1 cells at 24, 48, and 72 h post-infection with pSMOX or pBABE.
