CRC cells with KRASG12D, G13D, and BARFV600E mutations show upregulated expression of GLUT1 protein, which increases the absorption of dehydroascorbate, resulting in a high level of ROS (reactive oxygen species), which subsequently inactivates GAPDH (glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase) [24]. Here, GAPDH is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
