Apo-A2, one of the apolipoproteins associated with HDL, was also studied in carcinoma, showing that plasma expressions of Apo-A2-AT/A and Apo-A2-A/A, subfractions of Apo-A2, were related with a greater probability of developing pancreatic cancer, but no correlation with survival was investigated [25]. This evidence concerns the gene APOA2 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
