Other biomarkers such as high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) have already been fully investigated to differentiate HNF1A-MODY from other types of DM [16] and still others appear promising, including 1,5-anhydroglucitol, which was able to successfully differentiate individuals with HNF1A-MODY from those with T2DM who had A1C of between 6.5 and 9.0% [17]. This evidence concerns the gene HNF1A and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
