We also identified mCpHs in other genes enriched for opioid-related gene sets: SORCS1, GRK5, E2F7, SPRY2, TRIB2, BCL11A, CNIH3, and TACC2. SORCS1 is a regulator of the synaptic trafficking required for glutamatergic synaptic transmission in mice brain (47) being associated with Alzheimer’s disease risk in a candidate gene study (48). This evidence concerns the gene SPRY2 and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
