Compared with patients with isolated anti-Ro52 antibodies or anti-Ro60 antibodies, the positivity of anti-La antibodies was significantly higher in patients who were positive for both anti-Ro60 and anti-Ro52 antibodies, and these patients were also more likely to experience xerostomia and xerophthalmia, especially in individuals with SS. This evidence concerns the gene TRIM21 and xerostomia.
