PAX8 and CD68 (PG-M1) are useful in differentiating them: CD68 (PG-M1) is reportedly positive and PAX8 negative in renal epithelioid-AMLs, whereas MiT family renal cell carcinoma is negative for CD68 (PG-M1) and positive for PAX8 [29, 30].
