Next, we showed that SEMA6A was elevated under physical hypoxia or pharmacologically-simulated hypoxia conditions, whereas genetic ablation or pharmacological inhibition of HIF-2α significantly decreased SEMA6A expression in ccRCC cells, suggesting that hypoxia-induced SEMA6A expression requires the transcriptional activity of HIF-2α.
