A recent study has demonstrated that the combination of five lncRNAs (LET, PVT1, PANDAR, PTENP1 and LINC00963) could discriminate ccRCC patients from normal controls, with a high specificity of 88.9% and a sensitivity of 79.2%; this finding included 71 ccRCC patients, 8 patients with benign renal tumors, and 62 healthy controls [138]. This evidence concerns the gene PANDAR and nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
