Interestingly, this study found several exonic associations: TMEM88B (a transmembrane protein, most likely involved in intercellular signaling), ABCB4 [a transporter protein that is linked to some forms of cancer and multidrug resistances (Nayagam et al., 2020, p. 1)], TP53AIP1 (whose protein is part of the p53 pathway) and ARHGAP32 from the Rho G protein pathway. This evidence concerns the gene TMEM278 and cancer.
