The APHINITY study (27) found that dual-target adjuvant therapy further reduced the risk of recurrence by 24%, with a significant benefit for those with lymph node metastases and a reduction of 28% in the risk of recurrence, while the results over the next 6 years of follow-up showed that dual targeting not only reduced the risk of recurrence in HR-/HER2+ patients, but HR+ patients with late recurrence also achieved a statistically significant improvement in survival at a median follow-up period of 74.1 months. Here, ERBB2 is linked to metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
