Staining a tissue microarray containing 25 samples from patients with benign disease (benign prostate hyperplasia, BPH) and 122 samples from patients with prostate cancer [25] showed that GALNT7 protein is expressed at 2.4 fold higher levels in prostate cancer tissue relative to benign tissue (p < 0.001) (Fig. 1D). The gene discussed is GALNT7; the disease is prostate carcinoma.
