Some epidemiological studies have demonstrated that overexpression of HOXB7 is correlated with poor prognosis in breast [54], colorectal [55], and gastric [56] cancer, and upregulation of HOXB7 mRNA and/or protein expression has been reported in melanoma [57], ovarian cancer [58], and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma [59]. The gene discussed is HOXB7; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
