CD274 and neoplasm: Relying on the fact that T cells play a prominent role in anti‐tumour immune responses,8 this strategy uses monoclonal antibodies directed against T cell inhibitory receptors, most prominently cytotoxic T‐lymphocyte‐associated protein 4 (CTLA‐4) and programmed cell death protein 1 (PD‐1) and its ligand PD‐L1, to enhance T cell‐mediated anti‐tumour effector functions.9
